In 2012, Omar Spahi began building his dream to create comic books. Starting his own company at 23, Omar finished his first comic book script, XENOGLYPHS. After searching through the talented artists on Deviant Art, Omar came across a young, talented man in the Philippines named Peejay Catacutan. From there, they grew by hiring freelancer Steve Wands as their letterer. In just a few months, XENOGLYPHS was born and 3 issues were completed.
With the success of numerous sales throughout the year, XENOGLYPHS added 3 more issues in 2013, completing its 6-issue run. Soon before its completion, Omar began adding a second book to the OSSM library, THANIEL, with art by the incredibly gifted Terry Huddleston.
THANIEL saw wide-release in April, being featured in February’s PREVIEWS Magazine and raved about on numerous websites such as BleedingCool, CBR, Unleash the Fanboy and podcasts like 8-Bit Heroes, Hot Comics, The Kliq Nation, and Comic Syndicte. In stores now, find your local comic store and make sure you pick up the entire run today.
Growing beyond it’s two inaugural titles, OSSM Comics recently hired SOLESTAR creator, and brain aneurysm survivor, Siike Donnelly as their new Editor-In-Chief, as well as marketing director, and Alex Wilson as Public Relations Manager. With Siike and Alex on board, OSSM Comics is growing exponentially, featured on a number of sites starting in February 2014, and adding new titles such as SEPARATORS, MONOMYTH, and FOSTER by Brian Buccellato (Detective Comics, The Flash). MONOMYTH is a title Siike is writing himself, with art by the extremely talented Eric Ninaltowski and colors by the ever-busy Peejay Catacutan. FOSTER is written by New York Times best-selling author, Brian Buccellato, with art by Noel Tuazon.
